Lefkas Weddings – September wedding stories

A Scottish / American wedding…

At the beginning of the month we had the wedding of Scottish groom Colin to his American bride Aisling and guests coming from all over the world to help them celebrate their big day.

They wanted a personalised day and the Groom wore a kilt rather than trousers followed by the guests enjoying some Ceilidh dancing later in the evening. Aisling and her father led the first dance to a favourite, Country song and they choose a selection of delicious small cakes from the patisserie rather than the traditional big cake.

Our sincerest thanks to Claire, Kostas and the wonderful staff at Seaside for making our wedding day so very special. There was not a single guest that didn’t comment on how stunning your restaurant venue was, on your delicious food (some of the best they had in Greece!) and that you and your team were so very helpful and enthusiastic during the entire evening. Everything was perfect.  Thank you!!  Aisling & Colin

…and a Dutch wedding

The middle of the month saw the wedding of Cees & Chantal which was great fun as we helped them incorporate Dutch and Greek wedding traditions into their day.

The guests watched the couple arrive across the bay by speedboat for the ceremony at which they used the traditional Stefana (wedding crowns joined by ribbon) and had a special C&C flag.  They chose to have a more traditional meal of roast lamb and roast veal with lots of meze dishes. The couple stayed their wedding night at Seaside and the bride’s sister decorated the room with lots of lovely touches

The whole wedding, our stay at Lefkas, and especially the ceremony, dinner and dance at Seaside were fantastic !!  For sure you will see us back at Seaside in the not too distant future.
A big THANK YOU !! to you and the team for everything you have done for us !!
Kind regards, Cees de Jong
