Romantic villa retreats for two in Lefkas & Meganisi

I often get asked by my wedding clients if I can recommend a villa on Lefkada that is perfect just for two people.

It can be for a couple that simply wish ‘to get away from it all’,  a couple who want to stay close by to their wedding guests but desire some privacy and for a secluded and romantic hideaway for their honeymoon.

Whilst there are many stunning villas available, the majority are two to four bedroom houses aimed at families or groups of friends, which can feel large and empty with just two people occupying all that space.

So where on Lefkada can you find a luxury getaway that is ideally sized for a couple?

CV Villas

Atokos Cottage, Sivota

Described as “A stone-built cottage in traditional Ionian island style, Atokos Cottage is a rare find and a very romantic retreat with picture perfect panoramas.” We couldn’t agree more and it has the added benefit of being close by to the larger Atokos House for other members of your wedding party. Our wedding couple Jenny & Alex stayed here with their family in June 2015.

Villa Urania, Meganisi

On the heart of Meganisi’s East coast, this lovely villa has breath taking sea views and a private infinity pool.  Part of the Muses estate at Limonari, there are two other larger villas close by.

GIC The Villa Collection

They have three small villas on Lefkas which are ideal for couples; Kiparissi and Yesemi offer panoramic views of the coastline, whilst Milos in Kavalos is a converted windmill for a truly traditional stay on the island!

Mounty Island Villas

Up in Lazarata in the Sfakoties lies the stone built villas of Mounty Island estate. Of the seven villas, Ermis, Iasonas, Orfeas and Orestis are designed for 2/3 people and are ideally situated for lazy days at the island’s famous West coast beaches.

Art Blue Villas, Tsoukalades

Just outside of Lefkas Town on the coast road to Pefkoulia and Agios Nikitas is the contemporary estate of Art Blue Villas and overlooking the Ionian Seas you will find Villa Rodia, offering you a “warm and relaxing atmosphere” for your stay on Lefkas.

Villa Zelda, Tsoukalades

Elysian Villas also offer a villa for two in Tsoukalades. Villa Zelda is decorated with a pomegranate theme, which represent good luck and this little villa is luckily placed for easy access to Agios Nikitas, Pefkoulia and Kathisma beaches.

Villa Athina, Agios Nikitas

Ionian Island Holidays offer the delightful, Villa Athina, which overlooks the charming west coast resort of Agios Nikitas. Pefect for lazy days on the stunning beaches this side of the island has to offer.

Villa Kerithra and Villa Melissi, Vassiliki

Situated in the south in the popular bay of Vassiliki, the villas of Kerithra and Melissi are in an enviable position on the hillside surrounded by olive groves for a romantic escape.

Villa Sikia, Vlyho

The elevated position of Villa Sikia, gives it an impressive view over Vlyho bay, dotted with white sail boats and encircled by the Geni pensinsular on the right and the mountains of Lefkada to the left.

Your exclusive escape to a villa made perfectly for two in Lefkada gives you space, privacy and freedom and makes for the perfect wedding or honeymoon getaway.

Vertzamo Villas, Agios Ioannis

In the quiet olive groves close to the cosmopolitan capital town and near to the beach of Agios Ioannis you will find Vertzamo Villas the little houses named after the local grape variety of Lefkada. The philosophy of the design and construction of the houses is directly related to Lefkadian architecture and the colours of the island. In addition to the small vineyard, you will find an orchard of olive, orange and cherry trees with aromatic plants and herbs, as well as old vintage tools of the owners’ family now used for decorative purposes.
