Wedding at MED Parga with Panoramic View

In May we created a dream Greek wedding day for British couple Alex and Joanna at MED Parga with a panoramic backdrop of the Venetian castle and Valtos beach. The location was close to both their hearts as Alex’s father was born there and he and his sister had spent many family holidays in this authentic Greek town on Greece’s Epirus coast. Based in the events industry himself in London, Alex knew he could do the basics but need the finishing touches of our expertise and local knowledge to have the perfectly planned and stress-free day they wanted. My team included the award-winning photographer Maxeen Kim Duncan who captured both their engagement shoot and wedding day in beautiful Parga.

Bride, Joanna had a relaxing morning with her girls getting ready at Apolis Villas, Parga and the warm stone and olive tree filled grounds were the location for an emotional First Look for the couple. Her bridesmaids wore flute sleeve dresses with green embroidery. Bouquets of soft pastels and pampas were carried by the bride and the bridesmaids.

The couple told us their dream would be to have both their ceremony and reception at MED Parga but as the venue had never hosted a ceremony previously they were unsure how to achieve this. We love a logistical challenge and given the opportunity to have a ceremony with that amazing view, my team made it happen with some careful measuring and preparations. The ceremony included elements that reflected both their cultural heritages and ended with a traditional rice throw by the Greek family!

The cocktail hour took place on the balcony overlooking Valtos beach with refreshing summer cocktails and Greek-inspired canapes. A wedding at MED Parga offers you an unforgettable Mediterranean vibe with delicious modern Greek cuisine and those views your guests will talk about for a long time afterwards!

The wedding theme was green and blue reminiscent of the colours of the Ionian Sea. The tables were laid with garlands of eucalyptus and willow with touches of olive on the napkins. Gold accent details were added with candlesticks and the pretty table stationery which finished the design of this elegant wedding reception. Alex and Joanna started the evening party by dancing the Hasapiko, a traditional Greek dance which they had learnt as a surprise for the guests before being joined by all the guests for a music-filled evening as they danced the night away.

If you are dreaming of a wedding in Greece with a panoramic view and the stunning location of MED Parga has inspired you, send me a message here with all the details of your day. I would love to help bring your special day to life.
