There’s something magical about a wedding overlooking the Ionian Sea, where the islands stretch across the horizon and the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas at sunset. Natasha & Rhys’ destination wedding at Thalassa Restaurant in Sivota Thesprotias, Greece was the perfect blend of refined elegance and intimate celebration, crafted with every thoughtful detail in mind and planned seamlessly by us at Lefkas Weddings.

Planning an Elegant Destination Wedding in Sivota Thesprotias
As their wedding planner, my goal was to create an unforgettable experience that felt both timeless and effortlessly sophisticated. With a palette of white, green, and gold, we embraced a look that was fresh, modern, and perfectly complemented the natural beauty of Sivota. Thalassa Restaurant, an intimate venue for up to 60 guests, offered the ideal setting for a gathering that felt warm, personal, and deeply special.
A pretty circular floral arch, decorated with lush white flowers and greenery, framed the couple as they exchanged vows with the Ionian Sea stretching beyond. The aisle, lined with a soft white carpet, led to this beautifully intimate ceremony setting.
Later, the celebration continued at a stunning dinner setup, where guests gathered at a long, elegantly styled table. Crisp white linen, gold-rimmed glassware, and delicate greenery were accented with glowing candles—creating a romantic atmosphere.

A Beautiful Beginning: The Morning Preparations
Before the ceremony, Natasha enjoyed a serene morning preparing at Villa Christina, a stunning retreat overlooking the bay. With its sweeping views and tranquil ambience, it was the perfect place for her to take in the excitement of the day. Surrounded by loved ones, she embraced each moment—from delicate final touches on her gown to an emotional first look with her father.

Meanwhile, Rhys and his family chose The Old Mansion House, a beautifully restored property filled with tasteful antique furnishings and historic charm. The space exuded warmth and character, offering a refined yet inviting setting for him to share a heartfelt morning with his closest family and friends before the ceremony.

A Santorini Feel with a Warm, Personal Touch
This venue offers the magic of a Santorini-style wedding—spectacular sunsets and stunning views—while remaining intimate, relaxed, and perfectly tailored to each couple’s vision. Guests were treated to a modern Greek menu, thoughtfully curated by Andreas and his team to highlight fresh, local flavours, while the saxophonist enhanced the atmosphere, his smooth sounds drifting through the cocktail reception and carrying into the evening’s celebrations.

Dancing Under the Stars: A First Dance to Remember
As the night unfolded, Natasha & Rhys stepped onto the dance floor beneath the open sky, their beautifully choreographed first dance followed by a Greek moment with them encouraging all the guests to get on the floor and join them for a ‘Zorbas’ dance. With the Ionian Sea shimmering in the background and the last hues of sunset fading into a starry night, the atmosphere was nothing short of enchanting. Their graceful movements set the tone for an unforgettable celebration, leading seamlessly into a high-energy playlist that had guests on their feet, dancing late into the night. From soulful classics to vibrant party anthems, the music carried through the air, wrapping everyone in the joyful energy of a celebration filled with love, laughter, and pure magic.

Every detail came together to celebrate Natasha & Rhys’ love story, in this special place they had met ten years ago, and I couldn’t have been more honoured to be a part of bringing their dream to life.
