Summer may be over, but that’s not going to stop us from reminiscing over beautiful weddings in the Greek islands. Joshua and Katia’s tropical-inspired wedding in Lefkada has everything we love in a beach wedding. From a ceremony right on the ocean to an abundance of greenery and bright flowers and thoughtful favours inspired by their sailing trip around the world, our adventurous Dutch couple thought of every last detail. 

Katia wore an Anna Serrano mermaid-style, lace gown with a pretty illusion detail back and train. The couple requested their guests to wear bright colours and tropical prints to add to the happy mood of their tropical beach wedding in Lefkada.

Tropical decor means juicy colours, rich greens, and romantic island vibes. When it came to the reception, tables were set with bright blue vases, tropical flowers, candles and rattan placemats. The couple chose prosecco, as well as four signature cocktails for the drinks reception, ensuring their guests were in the mood to party the night away. All of this attention to detail came together to create a fun and relaxed wedding experience.

Our bride, Katia’s favourite moment: “Walking down the aisle and seeing our loved ones there celebrating our love with us… I just burst into tears. We saw our wedding in Greece as a holiday to celebrate our love, so we acted like we were on holiday while our wedding planner would take care of all things…. So, get a wedding planner and go have a cocktail on the beach”.
