In a world where grand weddings often steal the spotlight, there’s something incredibly alluring about the intimacy and authenticity of an elopement. Let us take you to a pristine white villa in ancient olive groves, and a boho-luxe, pampas-filled elopement ceremony in the south of Lefkada that speaks volumes about love unbound.

This gorgeous elopement was truly a day of two people, deeply in love. Plans change, weddings become elopements and after the initial upset changed to acceptance, we took the two constant elements of the day; the villa setting and the wild and beautiful scenery of Lefkada and created a new story.
Our boho-luxe elopement in Lefkada we styled with lots of soft, dreamy pampas glass in opaque green glass vases, rugs and cushions brought texture and pattern to the ceremony area with eclectic mix of gold accessories. The stunning geometric arch has arrangements of pampas, white hydrangeas and eucalyptus which paired beautifully with Trina’s chosen hand-tied bouquet of white flowers and mixed foliage.

A professional photographer herself, the choice of the photographer and filmmaker who would capture their day was extremely important to bride Trina. I recommended two of my favourite partners, Lefteris Kalampokas who shot beautiful images on digital and film for the couple paired with the film-making talents of Angelos Lagos.

After the ceremony and a refreshing summer cocktail, we took the couple to Cape Lefkada, Lefkada’s dramatic tip of the island which is associated with Apollo and where the German Archaeologist, Dorpfeld, found ruins of an ancient temple and place of sanctuary.
In literary contexts, Apollo represents harmony, order, and reason which are positive things to have associated with a new beginning. We all felt as a team that it was very apt for the elopement as they had found their sanctuary together amid all the Covid chaos and found peace.

As the sunset fell over the island, the couple returned to their villa, where a candlelit dinner awaited. Underneath a canopy of olive trees and fairy lights, they toasted to their love and the beginning of a new chapter filled with endless possibilities.

This elopement has the sweetest ending… The couple left Greece with an extra unexpected wedding gift, as they fell in love with the little cat that visited the villa deciding to adopt her and take her back home to the UK with them!
